AquaStraps are easy to fit using either screws or rivets

Aquastraps have been design to fit the widest range of trapeze equiped sailing boats and can be fitted to almost any dinghy, catamaran or yacht.

Not sure if they will fit on your boat?

3 step simple fitting instructions:

Step 1. Thread strap through the adjuster as shown in fig. (a). and clip into the furthest slot. Locate the other end of the strap in the gripper as
shown in fig. (b)
Fig (a)Fig (b)
Step 2. Screw or rivet  the gripper end of the strap to the boat in the desired position. Then mark the ideal position of the adjuster.

Step 3. Withdraw the strap from the adjuster, if necessary, to expose the outer fastening hole and screw or rivet into place. Then replace the strap in the slot and screw or rivet through the hole in the strap and the inner adjuster fixing hole.
Foot Insertion
Notes:
1) Always fit with the AQUASTRAP logo facing you when looking at the boat, and the gripper towards the stern.
2) The shortest strap setting on the adjuster will normally suffice for most applications. However, a longer strap can be achieved by using another slot position.
3) Engaging more splines with the gripper will result in a higher force being exerted before the strap will release. Therefore only engage the minimum splines to avoid unintentional release.

The picture shows rivets used to fix the gripper to thin wall tubing. If fixing to round tube, tighten the screws or rivets alternately to 'wrap' the sides of the gripper around the tube as shown:

Warning
The releasing force (adjusted by the number of splines engaged in the gripper) should be set to the minimum necessary to avoid accidental release. In normal circumstances this will ensure that the strap will release long before forces reach a point where injuries are likely. However, the use of a releasable foot strap cannot guarantee that injuries to the foot and ankle will not occur. The manufacturers of the AquaStraps accept no liability for injury, loss or damage incurred whilst using the straps.
